Established in 1966 by the esteemed industrialist and philanthropist Late Shri Sohan Lal Ji Sethia in memory of his mother, Late Smt. Sona Devi Sethia, the college has grown to become a beacon of learning, progress, and empowerment in Sujangarh and beyond.

The legacy of Sona Devi Sethia PG Girls College, began with the vision of the philanthropist Late Shri Sohan Lal Ji Sethia (1913–1967). As an industrialist and humanitarian, he believed that the empowerment of women through education was the key to societal progress.
